Scala is not so much a resort with a token beach as a huge beach with a token collection of rooms, tavernas and hotels strung along it. The long stretch of sand is right at the southernmost part of the island, and enjoys views of both the Pelepponese and Zakynthos, though one feels that if the wind were to blow from the south, that you might wish for somewhere with more shelter.

Nevertheless, a successful resort has arranged itself thereabouts, and indeed a good selection of tavernas is close at hand.
