Though Poros is a very pleasant location, being a long standing port and fishing village, the beach leaves a little to be desired. As with most on the east of Kefalonia, it is not particularly sandy, being a mixture of pebbles and shingle, and has little else to recommend itself in the way of beauty or charm.

Don't let it put you off Poros, but don't make a detour solely for the beach!
