Lassi
has several beaches, all of which offer lovely sand and excellent
swimming, and primarily because of this Lassi was the first
tourist resort to be developed.
Makris
Yialos (the long beach) is a relatively thin swathe of sand
separated by a rock strewn path from Pltis Yialos (the wide
beach) which is often favoured by the Greeks.
Further
round, and only accessible through the hotel grounds, there
is the often photographed White Rocks beach which sits on
a spur of land with sea on both sides.
There
is a (recently reconstructed following a violent storm) beach
bar on Makris Yialos, and a taverna immediately above the
other end, and a more basic bar on Platis Yialos. Within minutes
you also have access to the many tavernas of Lassi. |

Pluses
Sandy.
Great swimming. Good facilities. Watersports.
Minuses
Busy.
Watersports.
The only disadvantages are that, because of the numbers of
tourists Lassi can now accommodate, the beach is often crowded,
even outside high season, and the numbers have attracted all
kinds of watersports businesses which detract a little from
the ambience.
It
is nevertheless still well worth a visit.
