The
beach at Ayios Thomas is so small at first sight that you
might think it scarcely worth the trip. However, when it is
full it can accommodate scarcely more than fifteen people,
so it never feels crowded. The swimming is superb, and the
tranquility of the location is enchanting.
If
you walk around the rocks beyond the first small beach, there
is a larger stretch of sandy beach which offer sunbeds in
high season, which is rarely crowded, as its existence is
not obvious from the road's end.
There
are three tavernas (one only open in the evening), of which
the pick is the delightful Garden Bar, run by the charming
Zanna, which offers light snacks and tables just above the
waterfront in a location it is difficult to drag yourself
away from.
